Splitting the MPEG Files

We are going to be using Tsunami to split the files. Open the Program:

Click on File, Then Click MPEG Tools

Click the TAB that says Merge & Cut!

Then click on the drop down box that says "Type" and Select: MPEG - 1 Video-CD

Edit MPEG Splits

Lets assume you want to split your MPEG movie into 3 tracks. Click Add and choose the mpeg file you want to edit (your movie) the screen above will appear. Move the slide at the bottom 1/3 of the way across. Then click the } button. This will cut the movie at that point.

Name your output file

A good example would be: newpart1.mpg

Click Run! You now have the 1st 1/3 of your movie saved as newpart1.mpg

Proceed with the second part of your movie:

This time, you would press the { button to create the start point. You then drag the cursor to the area you would want it to end and press the } button.

Name your output file

And finally your last part of the movie:

Name your output file

If you have chosen to break your movie into additional .mpg's, you would simply continue these steps until you have finished.
