Beginning
The Ripping Process
As
you begin to rip your first there are a few items you want to make sure you
have:
Downloaded
All 4 Software programs from Step #2
You have at least 2 GB free on your Hard Drive
Plenty of spare time 1-2 hours depending on size of your DVD
You
are now ready to begin the process of Ripping your DVD
First,
open 'My Computer', click on File, Then select New from
the Drop down menu, and click on Folder.
Name
the Folder DVD
Insert
the DVD you wish to copy into your DVD drive
Open
cladDVD
Click
Start, then click Programs, then click cladDVD. It will
look as shown below:

In
cladDVD, click on the Source Drive at the top and make sure you select your
DVD Drive with the DVD in it.

Next,
click the Destination button and select the directory C:\DVD\ (This is
the folder you setup in the previous step)

The
screen should now be illustrated as above. Source drive being whatever your
DVD player is i.e. D:\, E:\, F:\ etc. and the Destination being C:\DVD\
Now
click SELECT FULL DVD. You will then see all the files on your DVD listed
in the window on the right as illustrated below.

Make
100% SURE... You have the required free space on your hard drive that is illustrated
on the bottom of this clad screen. Every DVD is different so you must check
to see the amount of space required each time. When you are sure you have enough
room on your hard drive click on the "Start Selected Operation" button.
Your computer will now start ripping the DVD into the directory that you selected.
It is important that you not use your computer for other things while the ripping
process is taking place. Depending on the speed of you computer, Memory and
Hard drive this can take a few hours. When is is done, you will have a fully
ripped DVD in your directory waiting to be converted!!!
